ACADEMIC COORDINATOR 

The Jakarta campus is currently seeking to recruiting a suitably qualified and experienced person for the role of Academic Coordinator.
The Academic Coordinator works within a dynamic, student centered environment that seeks to foster open intellectual inquiry, creative expression and the pursuit of lifelong learning.
The Academic Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of passionate and dedicated staff.

Primary Objective:

The Academic Coordinator is the principal academic officer of a campus. This role exercises leadership as a senior member of the campus reporting to the Campus Manager. The AC exercises a collegial role in academic leadership through membership of the Regional Assessment Panel with reporting responsibility to the Director of Academic Quality Assurance, Licensed Territories.

The AC provides academic leadership through:

  • Quality Assurance – expert educational leadership ensuring the delivery of all SAE programs are of high standard and compliant to institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Academic Management – key aspects of educational life to maximize student engagement and learning and overseeing quality assurance and projects 
  • Academic Workforce - efficacy and productivity of academic staff. The AC is a member of the Regional Assessment Panel representing the campus and acting with AC peers to ensure quality and integrity of results and recommend graduands to the Finalist Assessment Board.
  • Delivery - Expertise in tertiary education practice preferably both higher education and vocational education and training, understanding the student experience

Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance responsibility requires the AC to oversee the quality of learning and teaching on campus for all programs. As chair of Campus Moderation Committee, the AC reviews grades for distribution, completeness and must be satisfied that any anomalous results have a reasonable explanation. The AC represents the campus on the Regional Assessment Panel.

Academic Management

Academic management includes the organization of the resources for learning and teaching with the timetable as the primary instrument of academic management working in concert with the campus student services leader. Components of these responsibilities may be delegated to senior lecturers and unit coordinators.

Academic Workforce

The AC is responsible for managing academic workloads and recommendations for employment of sessional and permanent staff. Managing the academic workforce includes the organization of staff observations, academic staff reviews and professional development.

Delivery

The second essential quality manifests in the leadership exercised in the delivery of units. As an academic leader at SAE Indonesia, the AC is responsible for the delivery of units of the SAE Indonesia programs. An essential responsibility is the quality of assessment and the review of final results in preparation for the campus moderation meeting each trimester.
