
Environment Day, which is celebrated annually on June 5, gives meaning to the world community, especially Indonesia, to jointly care for and protect the environment, as a milestone to remind each other of the importance of caring for the environment.
This year’s World Environment Day commemorates the 50th Stockholm Conference. The 1972 Stockholm Conference was the first world conference to discuss environmental issues. The Stockholm Conference has laid the groundwork for a global arrangement on environmental protection.
In conjunction with this year’s World Environment Day, Climate Reality Indonesia together with SAE Indonesia and PPFN (State Film Production Corporation) organized a FGD ClimArt: Tackling Climate Crisis Through Films.
As the climate change getting worse, there are various ways to convey this in a more interesting and memorable way, one of which is by using art media, namely film. In this FGD ClimArt, some interesting materials and cinematography shall be shown as well as a discussion on how an audio visual art is able to create real action on climate issues in society.
