VIDEO EDITING

Editors hold one of the most critical roles in the filmmaking industry and are key collaborators in the filmmaking process. Editors are not just limited to the film industry; they work in many areas of media, including news, documentaries, television, and web series.

The editing course provides students with hands-on instruction in editing theory, techniques, and the fundamentals of digital editing. Students will gain hands-on experience by editing various projects with the footage provided using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve.

Projects over the course include a music video, trailer, short documentary, and a short narrative scene. Each day consists of approximately three hours of class and three hours of supervised lab time. Lab time is part of the schedule and allows the students to utilize the skills they have acquired
